How good is the collective memory around here?
Some time ago a new PLUG member brought along a huge Compaq server which
had been retired, and there was discussion about using it as patr of a
cluster (I think).
Anyway it never went anywhere and I can no longer remember who brought
it and whether they're likely to want it back?
If not I can break it for spares/recycling or anyone else is welcome to
give it a new home (be warned: it's a big heavy beast with the total
processing power of a modern calculator!) I have no idea if it even
powers up any more, although it did just before it was put onto the
shelf all those moons ago.
