for the "internet access" will you use a router to keep the high volume
LAN traffic within the classroom and only route internet traffic onto
whatever system you have providing the external connectivity ?
One issue that has popped up on other thin client installations is the
ability for teachers or pupils to plug in a USB stick to take away /
bring in work eg from home. Have you considered that aspect ?
