Background: Performed apt upgrade not realising my disk was full. I assume that's when the problem started but don't know for sure.
When I now run an apt upgrade it fails because it can't create directories in /usr/bin (permission denied). I have confirmed that I also can't create them (as root). The filesystem checks out ok, and the partition is writeable (confirmed by creating directories elsewhere). Directory permissions look ok too. Suggestions? Mark
