This took a little while longer to compile but I hope it is useful.

I have submitted a request to the Peterborough Chamber of Commerce to
include our search for a venue in their weekly newsletter. I am waiting
to hear back from them.

Please see below for the latest information I have for each suggested
meeting venue.

Next steps: Group to choose a venue and date.

Venue: The HackSpace
--------------------

LUG Sponsor: Bart Dzidek

Summary: 2 spaces are available for use, a large meeting space and a
side breakout space. The first 2 photographs on the Peterborough
HackSpace web site show these spaces. The venue appears to tick most of
our boxes, the people are friendly and it can be tried out without
commitment. I therefore recommend we consider this venue for our first
meeting. It is a "Marmite" space being essentially a unit on an
industrial site and it would be helpful to get people's views. An
onsite cafe is available until 20:00 2 evenings per week (Thursday and
Friday).

Address:
Unit B Peartree Business Centre
Enterprise Way, Bretton
Peterborough
PE3 8YQ

Venue Contact: Tyler Clark

Miles from Centre of Peterborough: 3.2

Bus Route: 3, 13 minutes journey time from Peterborough Bus Station
followed by a 4 minute walk. Service every 20 mins, once per hour after
18:40. Return, 1 service per hour until last bus at 23:16

Parking: Yes, adjacent to building.

Availability: Any evening Monday to Friday. As much reasonable time
available for setup as needed.

Cost: £3 per person per meeting.

Max Attendees: 35

Wifi/Wired Network: Yes/Yes. 1GBit/sec leased line.

Screen/Projector Available: Yes, 50 inch/Yes

Mains Sockets Available: Yes

Entry Method: Entry code. Limited to a few trusted members who will
require 15 minutes Health & Safety training, at least one of whom will
be responsible for controlling the door at each meeting plus ensuring
all attendees are aware of the site Health and Safety rules (which we
could get printed out).

Any Other Information: We would not have exclusive use of the space but
the one noisy piece of equipment in the space would be switched off
during the meeting. They say they are used to hosting meetings and it
would not be something new for them. I am thinking of becoming a
HackSpace member so I could potentially facilitate the first meeting.

Venue: The Mill?
----------------

venue is close to one that has previously worked for the Group. This
can be considered a low risk solution and is a good candidate as a

Venue: The Grange
-----------------

LUG Sponsor: Mark Rogers

Summary: An option to be aware of. It may require some negotiation and
may not be available, "Out of season," so I decided to put this option
in abeyance for now and group it in with any responses we get from the
Chamber of Commerce. A large venue.
