Hi all,

Just to confirm the meeting will be going ahead as planned. I was able
to sort out the network on Friday. For your information the average
download speed I achieved was 14Mbps and the average upload speed was
4.8Mbps.

There will be tap water at the tables and I will bring some bickies as
promised to help keep up the energy levels. Tea and coffee can be
purchased from the bar but if there is sufficient interest I will see
if I can do a deal on some jugs of same. We can discuss at the meeting.

There are plenty of mains sockets and Nige has kindly offered to bring
in a screen. I will bring a Linux desktop for general use. It will have
Mint Cinammon installed. The installation will be blown away after each
meeting for security. If you would like any particular software
installed on the desktop to support your presentation or question to
the Group please let me know in advance via email. Say if you need the
FlatPack version or the native distribution version of the software.
Send me any configuration files you also need installing.

If there is anything else you think we might need please let me know.

I am putting together a proposed agenda with several ideas for topics
and would welcome any contributions - to follow shortly.

There is plenty of physical space so do I hope as many people attend as
are able to.

Kind regards,

Clive

PS: The latest news from the HackSpace is that they are moving out of
their current building and will not be up and running again for at
least 2 months. As you might expect they are experiencing a number of
unexpected costs and so they have started the following gofundme
account:
https://www.gofundme.com/f/nzxhnq-unlock-the-hackspace?qid=291710754ef61627559d4d59cb13e76c
Any help we can provide to this Peterborough community service,
including advertising this gofundme, would I am sure be appreciated by
them.
