I currently have the following setup:
Home wkstn---------OBSD-----the 'net-------OBSD-------Company Intranet
FreeBSD 4.7 3.1 2.9
Home wkstn packet filter ipfilter
Win NT4 nat/ftp-proxy nat proxy
Whilst the 2.9 firewall should in time be replaced by a 3.2+pf one, I
have a question that is puzzling me:
The NT4 pc can ftp to hosts inside the company but with the FBSD machine
has to connect in
passive mode and then revert to active for transfers. I assume this is
due to the win client being
in active mode all the time but why can't I have transfers in passive mode?
