Hi all

Just thought I'd let you know something. I previously posted a message
regarding PB 7.0 being a resource hog. Well I tried a couple of things
including defragmenting my drives to no avail - couldn't get it to speed up.
This morning, I installed a new HDD (C: Drive) and installed a fresh copy of
NT 4.0 and all it's bits. Once I had reset the network connections, I logged
back in and my roaming profile reinstituted (almost) everything. Because I
have everything else on D: drive I double clicked on the PB 7.0 shortcut and
viola! it fired up without a hitch and is alot faster too!

But (and the reason for this post) my VB 5.0 installation wasn't so lucky.
Because of VB's idiotic dependency on a zillion DLL's which now do not exist
on the new HDD, it tries to open up as the learning edition and then dies!!!
Needless to say, I have to spend the rest of the day reinstalling VB and all
of its custom controls and updates. Pity, as I only need the damn thing for
checking against PB as I convert my final VB app.

SO - Game 1 to PB, very impressive I must say.

Regards
