The person that coined the phrase "DLL hell" nailed it right on the head.  Gates is
unable to separate "operating system" from "application".  Application updates,
especially, should not break the OS nor should it break other applications; but, they
do.  Microsoft has been developing operating systems for 20 years and they still
can't get it right.
