Hi sathya, You can adopt the Sysusermessages technique of Sybase. Store the LETTER in a table. Have %S or some identifier in the place where U need the "AMOUNT" .. once the user has made amendments to the letter .. replace the identifier with the actual value... Cheers......Sathish.P
