Massive Optus data breach reportedly not so "sophisticated" after all
The recent Optus data breach, involving perhaps 40% of Australia's
population, was originally claimed by Optus to be a "sophisticated"
attack. However, it is now reported that the likely access was via a
completely open, unauthenticated API. Not exactly sophisticated. -L
