You may get a duplicate posting, due to Mastodon's awful design
You may get a duplicate of a posting of mine this morning about AI,
due to an awful flaw in Mastodon that nobody seems to want to fix. If
you mention a link in a post there, every site receiving it will try to
fetch the page for images and such, even if there aren't any images of
course. They all hit basically at once, drive the load average through
the roof, interrupt mail processing for the duration, etc. Terrible
design. So I apologize for any duplicates. -L
