"I Dream of Jeannie" and Bard

So I asked Google Bard the same question: "Did Barbara Eden speak
Farsi in the first episode of I Dream of Jeannie?"

Bard does better with the specific answer at first than ChatGPT did,
but then messes up when it tries to say more, and doesn't credit the
source for the correct answer (which I located quickly myself).

Bard correctly notes that she spoke Farsi in the first episode, and
tells how they wanted to use Arabic but couldn't find a tutor.
Accurate. The language of this part of the answer is however taken
word for word from IMDb, without any credit or links of any kind
included.

Later in Bard's answer it muddles everything by claiming the reason
she spoke Persian not Arabic is because it was more exotic and
different from other popular culture genies. This is just plain wrong
and obviously contradicts the earlier part of its answer.

Mixing correct and incorrect answers is a toxic misinformation brew.
That seems to be what Generative AI is best at doing.
