...and to put things into perspective:

to...@floh:~$ apt-cache show libxml2 libjson-glib-1.0-0 | grep "^Size"
Size: 814356
Size: 33538

(not that I would recommend this one, since that's the one tied to glib,
but seems that XML parsing is nearly one and a half orders of magnitude
more complex than JSON).
