Tom, I saw something in the other thread suggesting that you might be working on this. Is that so? If not I have had a little poke around the cash type but I'm no where near up to speed on the internals. Your proposal is that cstring etc. get entries like record on pg_type? That presumably means we'd need in and out functions defined for these, which in the case of cstring would just be copying the input to output?
