Yes, it could be made into a library. But i'm assuming that GConf is a lot better thought out- the system pgserver is just meant for reading simple section,property,value pairs from one file or two while gconf should provide a good framework for managing a user's preferences. I'd worry about it being too big, but if Smardata's developing it to run on their Chipslice (Dragonball CPU) i don't think that will be a problem :)
