Hmm.. This is really a last-resort sort of suggestion, but try this: - open pgserver in gdb - set a breakpoint at ps2mouse_init - run it with the command line options I suggested earlier - It should stop at ps2mouse_init - Step through to make sure it opens the mouse device correctly - Set a breakpoint at ps2mouse_activate - Run it, it should stop whenever you move the mouse - Make sure it decodes the packet correctly
