That would be nice, but one of PicoGUI's strengths has always
been very flexible compile-time configuration. That would turn
into a big mess with makefiles only.

Either way, we should probably ditch autoconf ;)

pgserver has been LGPL for a while now. The only GPL'ed components are
a few of the applications.
