Nice. I actually didn't know that the list was still active. Did nothing
with Picogui for a looooong time but I remember it was a nice system. I
am really intrested in you advance with Pico and an up-to-date Linux.

picogui for some development work because it's still much faster than
anything else out there, and when you need a gui that can run multiple

Anyway, I spent most of yesterday hacking, and managed to get the 0.46
build system and code updated to the extent that it now builds on a
modern OS. Unfortunately there are 64-bit compatibility issues with
themec, which I still need to look into, and I think that maybe the
linux framebuffer has changed since picogui's heyday (when I run the
framebuffer servers I get random looking text all over the screen -
I'd be interested if anyone knows anything about fixing this). But the
x11 driver seems to work just fine.
I'm going to put the updated code onto github soon, and then look into
the x64 issues, then the framebuffer, then hopefully I can start
writing the apps I want, and getting it to build with an ARM cross
compiler. I don't think I'll actually be improving the code unless I
run into bugs, but thought someone out there might be interested anyway.
