Well I never use it ;)  but I presume from your question that you do.
With no further action, this behaviour will be swapped to the
left-click. You can test this yourself in the latest build with the
preference setting mentioned previously.  To me though, as a separate
issue, this is meta behaviour and should be invoked the same as
bringing up halos, leaving the left-click unassigned and available for
*something-else* application specific.
