My point exactly. 
I don't mind SmalltalkImage>>osVersion being deprecated, but the "lightweight 
lobby" delegate method SmalltalkImage >> os has been deprecated as well... 
(There is no corresponding SmalltalkImage >> platform as you mentioned)
