TALKING ANIMALS, LAW AND PHILOSOPHY We are happy to announce that the Talking Animals, Law and Philosophy series will be continued in the academic year 2016/2017. An exciting new line-up of national and international speakers awaits!
This year’s series will be kicked off with two presentations by Professor Randall S. Abate, Professor at Florida A&M University College of Law. Professor Abate’s first talk on "Animal Law and Environmental Law: Parallels and Synergies" will be given on 11 October 2016 from 6:15 – 7:45pm in Room G28 of the Law Faculty at 10 West Rd, Cambridge. The second presentation will be delivered the following day, October 12, from 6:15 – 7:45pm in Room G28, on "A Person by Any Other Name? Potential Legal Recognition of Nonhuman Animal Legal Personhood in Australia and the United States”.
