*Mondays 14.00-15.30 (exceptions noted below).* This term we will be looking at Kant on modality. All are welcome and no previous knowledge is assumed! Please email me if you would like to be added to the KRG mailing list. For our first meeting on 22nd January, we will discuss Chapter 2 (‘Is Existence a Real Predicate?’) of Nicholas Stang’s *Kant’s Modal Metaphysics *(2016). The Introduction and Chapter 1 (‘Logicism and Ontotheism’) are also helpful for background. This book can be found online at oxfordscholarship.com. In following meetings, we will read *The only possible argument in support of a demonstration of the existence of God (Der einzig m**ögliche Beweisgrund…). *An English version can be found in the Cambridge University Press edition of *Kant’s Theoretical Philosophy 1755-1770*, but feel free to use any version! We will then move on to relevant sections of the first *Critique, *to be discussed later.
