Dear all,
The Kant Reading Group will continue to meet on Thursdays this term, 1:00-2:30pm. The meetings are usually held in the Philosophy Faculty Board Room. Please contact me at [email protected] to be put on a mailing list for further updates. Over the next few weeks, we will continue to read Kant's Dreams of a Spirit-Seer Elucidated by Dreams of Metaphysics. We have so far discussed the first two chapters, and will be starting from chapter 3 of the first part. Those who have not yet attended are very welcome to do so - Kant's discussion has been quite wide-ranging over different areas of philosophy, and we are proceeding quite carefully and slowly. The meeting will be next Thursday, 2 May, and I suggest we read both chapters 3 and 4 in preparation (2:342-52 according to the Academy pagination). On Thursday 30 May, we are delighted to have a talk (with discussion) by João Lemos, academic visitor from IFILNOVA, FCSH, University of Lisbon. The talk is provisionally titled "How to make use of Kantian beauty". Apologies for any cross-posting. With best wishes, Sen Bhuvanendra _____________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from the CamPhilEvents mailing list, or change your membership options, please visit the list information page: http://bit.ly/CamPhilEvents List archive: http://bit.ly/CamPhilEventsArchive Please note that CamPhilEvents doesn't accept email attachments.
