But perhaps your thinking is backwards here -
If any application can cause a system to lock
up, it's a failure and the test is over. There is
no need to keep testing, because it's already

hmm, did you assume that "2 games" formed the
basis for my opinion of the 3dfx-equipped linux
system being solid? perhaps I was a bit unclear -
the system was used for quite a few tasks, and
gaming was only one aspect - and in addition to
the other 3D applications, there were other 3D
games as well - I only mentioned the ones that
I played habitually.

Feel free to suggest a more "comprehensive
test" if you like - perhaps I could humor you.
