Is anyone else experiencing a marked slowdown in performance with Phoebe? This box was running 7.3 as 8.0 wouldn't install. I eventually got rid of the problem (a RAID setup which the installer didn't like) and have installed 8.0.94.
Now I find that interactive performance i.e. using mutt, Pan, Mozilla etc. is on the order of a half or a third the speed I had with the 7.3 installation. It seems as though anything needing any real processor power is much slower, to the point that the mouse pointer gets stuck for several seconds.
