Following a suggestion in this list, I edited my modules.conf file
to enable DMA. I can now burn data CD's (with kernel-2.4.20-2.48).

Burning *audio* CD's is a different matter. Gnome Toaster will
do the burn process, and immediately hang the system. My PS/2
keyboard will lock up with the Caps Lock and Scroll Lock LEDs
flashing incessantly.

C-A-Backspace does not work:The only way I can regain control
is to hit the reset button. NOTE:Magicdev is *not* installed.
Has anyone else observed similar behavoir when burning audio
tracks from mp3 or wav files?
