Did you remember to overwrite /bin/rpm?
Yes, I overwrote everything the archives contained by using mc. Additionally I tried to do an rpm --rebuilddb which also segfaulted; maybe this did further harm, or I did something else wrong.
What (still) happens:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# rpm -Uvh *.rpm --oldpackage Warnung: popt-1.8-0.70.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 897da07a Speicherzugriffsfehler
The rpm packages are from http://phoebe3.fedora.us/apt/RPMS.updates/:
rpm-build-4.2-0.70.i386.rpm 07-Mar-2003 13:31 431k rpm-debuginfo-4.2-0.70.i386.rpm 07-Mar-2003 13:31 9.3M rpm-devel-4.2-0.70.i386.rpm 07-Mar-2003 13:31 1.0M rpm-python-4.2-0.70.i386.rpm 07-Mar-2003 13:31 86k
Greetings -asb
I am using rpm-4.2-0.66 and don't seem to be having any trouble with lockups for rpm management. I know that I sucessfully installed rpms with kernel-2.4.20-2.48 and might have tried to install rpms with kernel-2.4.20-2.54.
I dropped back to RH8 for newer programs, security fixes, etc. What is the phoebe3 version supposed to be?
Jim
