Come on, be realistic here. I used to run Red Hat Linux at work (I'd still be running it, but I'm not working), and we purchased the boxed sets for every release. This was All Well and Good. Then came up2date with a reasonable price structure, we quickly signed on to that to get priority access to updates. This is all well and good. Now, since I ran Red Hat Linux at work, I also ran it at home, both on my "desktop", and on a couple of home "servers". I don't mind updating my desktop every 12 months, heck, I update it every 3 or so anyway, no big deal. My servers, on the other hand, I don't touch for a couple of years at a time, except for maybe a few security updates. I certainly don't go changing the services on them once a year. I don't have the option of running Red Hat Linux on such machines if I expect to keep them reasonably secure anymore; I must run Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Except, of course, that I can't get it, and even if I could, it doesn't look like "basic" RHN subscriptions for it are available anymore. Greg
