Just had Mandrake 9.1 installed for about 2 hours before it pissed me
off and I reloaded 8.0.94 on my laptop.

Strange thing though, they used the radeon driver for my chipset and it
worked like a charm (most likely only 2D support though, I didn't leave
it on long enough to test 3D).

Is there something that you can pull from their code to help you out?
Or are you just in the process of implementing the change?

Thought I'd mention that in case you were looking for info.
