I thought that as well from what I could gather online. I just found it strange that when I installed it the XF86Config-4 file had "radeon" for driver. Maybe they combined vesa into the radeon module.
Once again, thanks Mike for at least getting 2D working so I (and everyone else) can run my DVD's full screen. Shaun -----Original Message----- From: Mike A. Users may or may not get limited working 2D with the "vesa" driver, but keep in mind that the vesa driver totally relies on the video BIOS on the card. If you experience problems with the "vesa" driver, generally speaking they are unresolveable BIOS bugs. I have a Radeon IGP 2D support patch here, as well as many other radeon enhancements which will be included in a future driver release. This work has been contributed by ATI, and if further work is required, ATI will provide assistance if necessary I'm sure. No help or assistance from anyone else is required. Not sure where Mandrake got IGP support from unless they're using the "vesa" driver, in which case you can do that in Red Hat Linux also. -- Phoebe-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/phoebe-list
