Hello I've been trying to figure out for years to what machine this belongs, and I hope someone on the board may know. I thought that it could be from the big Pathe style machine, but after eventually finding one to look at (Lady playing harp in front of the horn), it was not the same. Could be for a different model?
My bet is that it could have been some sideline of one of the bid Disc Music box companies, as the motor is very Polyphon / Symphonion style. It has a Monster of a spring - like for a 24 inch music box? As you see in the photo's, it is coin operated. The turntable is 12 inches. Its heavier than any other phono motor I've ever come across.
