Hello I noticed in a few posts that many people (of the pre-playstation generation?) started on the hobby fairly young. I likewise was about 11 or 12 when I started chasing wind up machines and old records. However in the last 15 years or so I definitely have not seen anyone under 25 competing on the flea markets for anything collectible in the music category? I was wondering if this is a generally noticed phenomenon.
Another area where I'm trying to get a better overview is on the subject of Zonophone. A B C D, Home, Parlour, Grand, Concert grand - its quite straight forward - I thought. That is till one encounters the European models. The Zonophone company is a very interesting theme, especially as it shows the reality of the hard competitive nature of the early music industry. I though to try copy the Berliner concept which I have enjoyed so far, & nauseate a few more people by asking for some photo's & info on about Zonophone. Hey, its a cold winter. I hope that the Company history is accurate, & would welcome corrections if there are inaccuracies. Has anyone seen a similar ebonized Model A with bevelled glass panels on matching stand? Thanks in advance Robert _________________________________________________________________ Tired of spam? Get advanced junk mail protection with MSN 8. http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
