Hi Fred, This illustrates the difference between ignorance (lack of knowledge) and the inability to grasp or attain knowledge. I have communicated with many people over the years including the man who described blue amberols as wax records and offered 2 for $1500.00. When I wrote to him and described the records, including features not shown, and gave a history he thanked me and said an antique dealer had appraised them for that price and thanked me. I wrote one hateful person and told him what model his DD phono was and he wrote me a hateful letter back. For almost a year I did not write to people. I find most people are thankful, but some are really, really hateful.
Steve You know. I just don't get it. With the resources available today in print, and on the internet there is just no excuse for being this far off on the real value of something. I think that whatever I was selling on ebay I could spend a few minutes, and get a pretty good idea of its market value. These days it just isn't that difficult.
