I didn't get this particular message, but got one very very close to it. In fact- I didn't respond and got the message sent to me like five times. Then it stopped just as fast as it started. I think eBay is very clear in saying that they will not ask for this type of information through email.
In general- DO NOT answer any email verifying this type of information. Unless an email or link takes you "directly" to an SSL (HTTPS) site where you update information directly on the site- Don't answer it! Not just eBay.
