Hi all,

I spotted this interesting Columbia calendar for apparently 1916 on
Ebay... but after looking at the seller's other auctions, something's
*very* fishy. I'm bringing it up, as the calendar was just listed, and
it's already starting to climb in bid amounts.

Why do I think it's fishy?
- it's a private auction
- the seller is private
- all of the other calendars (non-phono) they're offering, are very
desirable subjects.
- the calendars are all about the same size/format
- the big giveaway: the typography of the actual calendar page dates is
*exactly* the same for all of the other calendars listed, which range
from 1910 to 1950... That's highly unlikely, and I'm virtually 100%
sure that the calendar page sections have recently been made (lot's of
bad typography from default computer font settings)

Just a warning to anyone, in case you're thinking of spending some coin
on something that may or may not be what it appears.

Patrick
