The years of the calendars that are listed do all in fact begin on Saturday, January 1. I'd like to see February of each because only 1916 is a leap year (no scam artist is bright enough to not fall into that trap). Curiously, 2005 also begins on a Saturday (Jan 1).
Most egregiously I think is impossibility that a dozen or so calendars from a variety of advertisers spanning a period of about 40 years could somehow have the exact same layout, calendar pad size, font, point size, etc. There is no doubt that this seller is a third or fourth generation descendant of a roving snake oil salesman.....But even "snake oil" bottles have collectible value after about 100 years now??? Go figure. This is right in line with people who are forging license and patent sheets for clocks, painting "dirt" on to plaster, chalk and cast iron forgeries of Nipper statues and so on. I wonder what sort of liquid this guy used to "stain" the paper, or do I want to know? They're probably hiding feedback until they unload their bogus wares and hiding the bidder so that everyone else will perceive some kind of "value". George is right... (Columbia Calendar) I think it's a repro. If you look at the other calendars this seller is offering, the January page uses the exact same date lay out and font, year in and year out. The 1st is always on Saturday, no matter what the year is....I haven't checked but I'm that isn't a coincidence. Besides, that image is used on other repro items. Also, notice how each one offered is special in some way.
