Yepper, believe it. Credit card surcharges are illegal in CA, CO, CT, FL, KS, MA, ME, NY, OK and TX. Additionally, Visa and MasterCard prohibit surcharges. The merchant is expected to eat the surcharge as business overhead. However it's legal to offer cash discounts. Splitting hairs? Yup. But that's the way it is. Loran
