I only got to listen to it twice. I dropped it and it shattered. I was
sick because it was one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I didn't keep lists
of
my cylinders in those days and couldn't remember the name of the song. I
would like to try and figure out what it was and obtain another copy. (I
won't
drop this one).

--------------------------------
I wish I recognized the song and had an answer for you. I understand how you
feel. When I was a teenager I had a cylinder that I absolutely loved, but I
didn't know that it wasn't a good idea to play Edison 2-minute wax on a
Columbia with a spring-loaded lyric reproducer meant for Indestructibles. I
totally
wore the record out in a matter of days. The song haunted me and I looked
for it for years. Fortunately I knew the title and the catalog number, but
that
didn't help much. It seemed like it never came up on auction or sale lists.
But about 7 years ago I was rummaging through a box of records at one of the
east coast shows and I found one, mint, just waiting for me. My heart
literally skipped a beat. It cost me all of $5, I'd have paid ten times that
if I
absolutely had to! And yes, I still love the tune ("Teasing" by Bob Roberts),
I
still have the record, and I've dubbed it to CD for protection.

Good luck, I hope you track it down!
