I tend to agree with you on this. However, I am not willing to spend my money to buy all the parts and put them back together again for the sake of a happy family. On the other hand, many times, one phonograph can yield enough parts to transplant into many machines that might otherwise be discarded. There are probably other ways to look at this, too. Dave
