Dan, If you want, you can email me directly ([email protected]). The VV-IV would have had an Exhibition reproducer, so the reproducer that he has seems like a great find in itself. Is he sure it is the Victor O reproducer and not a #1 Concert?
What about the plating on the grill and the rest of the parts? The few grills that I have seen (and one I own) are generally quite pitted and sometimes rusty. Victor never seemed to get the idea of flash plating steel before nickel plating it. They can be restored though. He certainly has a machine that depending on the condition would be attractive to folks like me who simply must have one of everything Victor ever made. If I were looking for one (which I am not because I have one) I would personally pay as much as $450 to $500 for the machine if the condition were right (without the reproducer). But the condition is really the key with those little guys. Again, please feel free to email me directly if you want. According to the Victor Data Book it's in the first few made. It even has the round earlier brake. I know that the reproducer is worth quite a bit, maybe more than the machine. Anyone have an idea of what this machine should be worth?
