Hi, I hope Loran doesn't toss me for this off-topic post. :-) I'm trying to repair a 1970's plastic doll for my mother...a belt on a doll. The part that's broken is the plastic belt buckle that won't snap and stay closed.
I tried using a thick super-glue, but I think the buckle is made of the same plastic that the super-glue comes in, so it didn't even pretend to hold. After wiping it off, I tried some Testors Plastic Cement. This is the liquid stuff that is applied with a little brush in the cap (it's old stuff but I think still good). But NOT good for this type of plastic. Can anyone give me a suggestion as to what to use on this type of plastic? Perhaps the tube type modeling cement or epoxy (JB Weld)? Thanks, Dennis (who normally only plays with Edison and Madame Hendren dolls) <g> __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
