Hi Keith (and list), There are two main styles of the BA cases for the "regular series", and some additional styles - here's a brief overview:
REGULAR SERIES (1501-5719, plus the foreign) 1st: Blue, with yellow/gold graphics (two variations of this label) 1912 to 1917-ish 2nd: Orange, with blue (five variations of this label) 1917-ish to 1929 CONCERT SERIES (28,000 series) 1st: Dark blue (almost black), textured paper, with only an Edison signature in gold. 2nd/3rd: There are two subsequent versions (cheap looking!), in a basic cardboard tube with a poorly rendered Edison script logo in white. The other version is more similar to what the Royal Purple boxes look like. I think that the "cheap" looking box was the last of the three. ROYAL PURPLE SERIES (29,000 series) 1st: Purple box with relevant text (somewhat similar to the 2nd BA style) There are a few additional styles of boxes for BA's too, but the boxes above are the most common for cylinders in the Edison line-up. Hope this helps!
