The heavy dictation cylinders are spun at a very high RPM on these shavers. Inspect the cylinder before you shave it for nicks in the rim or cracks. Set the shaving blade to make light passes on the cylinder. Close lid when shaving. When shaving a cylinder, close the lid almost all the way before you flip the switch on, and flip switch off before fully raising lid. Failure to observe one or a combination of any of these factors may result in a chunk of cylinder hitting you so hard in the forehead you will see stars. Voice of experience. Very possible to take out an eye, break a nose or teeth. Sorry did'nt see your mail before I made a reply. One can see in the photo's the large drawer for the swarf (?shaved of wax). So its a fairly industrial strength machine. I havent tried to connect mine to the power supply to see how well it works in case I do damage to the national grid or myself. regards > > Hi, > > > > http://tinyurl.com/3cmak > > > > Were there other companies beside Edison who made these? > > > > Steve > >Steve, > >That's a shaver. > >Loran > > >_______________________________________________ >Phono-l mailing list >[email protected] >http://t2.cwihosting.com/mailman/listinfo/phono-l_oldcrank.com _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail _______________________________________________ Phono-l mailing list [email protected] http://t2.cwihosting.com/mailman/listinfo/phono-l_oldcrank.comGet more from the Web.
