It is, safe to say an "off brand" machine, not one of the big three (Victor,
Columbia, Edison). These in general are not as valuable as the big three.
Parts may be hard to come by, fit of tone arm and design of reproducers is
often marginal. I'd offer $250 and see what they say. Condition is
important. Are all the metal bits shiny, with no evidence of cracks? Is
the cabinet is really nice shape?

Subject: [Phono-L] Genola Phono

There is an antique store near me that is going out of business. They had a
genola phonograph for sale. It was in good shape and had about three records
with it. They had it for 350.00. Question, is this a good price? Is this a
hard to find item? I have search through my books and
on the internet but have no found any information. Can you help me out?

Thanks

Jeff
