Hello all:

I didn't see this until it was too late to alert the rest of you. This is a
neat item, but it was out of my price range. Check it out.

The folks in this hobby are just so great! I am now the very pleased
owner of a reproduction LW crank thanks to the combined efforts of many.
It started with pictures and dimensions from someone on this list
(thanks, Leon!). And then there was the reference from another list to
the website of someone who makes reproduction cranks:
http://www.scotlandvacations.com/cranks.htm

Everything fit together perfectly -- the new crank works wonderfully, was
wonderfully made, and I marvel at the way in which we all help each
other.

All the best to everyone.

I can't remember where but heard a particular brand of plastic Picnic
plates
worked well at least for trial work while "tuning" up the recorder
amp-cartidge stuff. Don't remember the brand tho. I think I'll make a
trip to the
Hospital & see if they'll release any old X-rays.
Thanks.
