With a lot of pain and suffering ,I will be offering up for Sale my super RARE "EDISON SCHOOL HOUSE". I believe it to be all original , including the stand and it is in what I would call very good condition. However there are no Box's. I do have a set of box's w/lids that I bought as originals sometime ago, they appeared to be the same , height and length OK but but they are too wide and will have to be cut down , by someone that is a lot better than me. I paid a lot for them believing they were correct and will pass them along to a new owner, if machine is sold. It is not cheap as I paid a lot for it years ago. I do have the list of the known examples, which is very short. I would be happy to answer any questions concerning condition and price to those that are Seriously interested. You can email me off list or call me at 530-945 2221 Thanks brice

The mechanism is quite noisy and I have traced it to the relationship between the governor worm and the gear that drives the governor. There is a lot of play which causes a rattle when the cylinder begins to turn. Is there any way to decrease the lash between the worm and gear? I thought that maybe the bearing pins would be mounted on an eccentric for adjustment but this is not the case on my machine. There is no wear in the pins and the governer shaft has no side play in it. Does anyone reproduce the brass gear? Can someone tell me what should be the diameter of the worm so I can verify that I have the correct one? Thanks very much in advance.
