Good reminder, and I hadn't thought of shaping it on an unwanted  
record, but this makes sense in light of it being a more durable  
material, that you wouldn't want to start playing a precious record  
right away, with disregard to the orientation of the wear pattern  
from the last time the Tungs-tone was installed.  Like turning a  
chisel sideways to the groove.
