Really?

"Rubs hands together"
You must give me your "wish" list....................

Muah-wha-ha-ha............Just kidding.....

Yes, I have that on my watch list. That is the first of the true Royal Purples.
the first 5 were actually blue.......... I've never seen them in purple. They
were released in 1913. This was released in Dec. 1917 from a DD master. This
was the only DD released in this series 84001.

Subject: [Phono-L] Douglas cabinet
Message-ID: <[email protected]>

Brice and Dan make good points about the Douglas. Did Douglas have
agreements with Victor? Were those cabinets sold through Victor jobbers
only? Was it a market that victor controlled the sale for high end
customers...upwardly mobile and all. Given the huge number of "Chicago "
talking machines with odd ball motors put together in little shops,
other than the Douglas I just don't recall seeing victor parts used this
way. I stand corrected. Me thinks there is more to this story.

The Douglas cabinets are beautiful. but don't seem well made. That's why
I never purchased one !!! LOL
