The worst offense Karl did was to offer "Dual Speed Stylii" for use with both 2 and 4 minute cylinders ====================== I just found that listing: "COMBINATION SPEED STYLUS: Both 2&4 minute records played with single C or H head when equipped with one of these dual-speed sapphires. Send head for free installation. Reproducer not modified in any manner. $34.95." [OUCH!] Another interesting offer, which at least was honest: "EDISON DIAMOND DISC STYLUS SECONDS: Factory seconds. Sound excellent, just like #717 [new stylus] but record wear is above normal. We install, $19.95." [Such a bargain....] I wasn't able to find a listing for the ugly little horn on eBay or in my garage, but he thought highly of his Fireside horns: "SMALL MORNING GLORY HORN: A superb reproduction professionally created; Edison himself would be proud of these. 20" long, 12" across petals, 8 petals. Fits ANY cylinder phono when used with proper crane (see crane section). Meets original factory specs for Edison Gem & Fireside. Sent unpainted premitting individual decoration and matching. $49.85." A trip down the dark side of memory lane.... Best regards, Rene
