I'm amazed that anyone would ship a cylinder phonograph without removing the works. Then you'd ship the works and case in SEPARATE boxes. I'd take it apart as much as necessary until I thought all the boxes could survive a fall from an airplane cargo hold to the ground (which is what sometimes happens to packages at UPS).
